Part 8 of the Chakra Series
Welcome to the final part of our chakra series, where I explore each of the seven main chakras, their unique qualities, and how they influence your well-being. My last blog provided an overview of the third eye chakra. If you missed it, I invite you to read it now.
My intention for this series is to support your growing awareness of your energetic body. It’s been an honor to co-create this space for self-exploration and reflection. I hope these resources have helped you feel more balanced and empowered.
The Crown Chakra:
Your Center for Divine Wisdom
We now arrive at the crown chakra, an energy center that connects us with higher consciousness, divine wisdom, and universal awareness. Known as Sahasrara, which means "thousandfold," this chakra expands the themes we explored through the Throat and Third Eye chakras. When the crown chakra is balanced and open, we are able to move beyond the limits of space and time, tuning into infinite potential and spiritual clarity.
Development of the crown chakra isn’t always associated with a specific stage of life. Some traditions link its development to the ages of 42–49, while others believe spiritual awakening can happen at any time. This chakra is aligned with the element of thought and cosmic energy and is often represented by the colors violet, gold, or white. By understanding its qualities, we gain deeper insight into our own inner wisdom and intuitive connection to something greater.
Identifying Crown Chakra Imbalances
The health of the crown chakra shapes how we perceive the world and our place within it. It influences our ability to reprogram limiting thought patterns, experience clarity, and connect to a higher purpose. Ways to Support and Balance Your Crown Chakra
There are various practices and tools you can use to restore and maintain a balanced crown chakra. Below are some suggestions to help you nurture this foundational energy center:
Dietary Support
Violet and purple foods - like blueberries, purple grapes, and plums - are often recommended for their potential to stimulate the crown chakra. Fasting is also known to be supportive for this energy center.
Essential Oils and Incense
Scents have a powerful effect on energy centers. The following are particularly helpful for balancing the crown chakra:
Lavender: Encourages openness to unconditional love, acceptance, and peace of mind
Frankincense: Assists in spiritual awakening and helps individuals feel the love of the Divine
Rose: Embodies divine love and teaches individuals how to connect with this love through prayer and meditation
Crystals
Crystals that resonate with the crown chakra’s energy can help you feel more connected and secure and include:
Amethyst: Activates this chakra, balances physical, emotional, and mental energies, and facilitates a sense of spirituality and contentment
Clear Quartz: An “all-purpose” crystal for meditation and healing, known to amplify, focus, and transform energy
Diamond: Helps to stimulate far-sightedness and spirituality.
Herkimer Diamond: Known to bring harmony of energy throughout the body, promoting self-acceptance and a desire to “be” rather than “do”
Energy Movement

Provided you don’t have a heart condition, high blood pressure, or eye problems, you can complete yoga poses that direct energy upward:
headstand/shoulderstand
forward folds
balancing poses
spinal movements with cat-cow or spinal twists
Journaling Prompts
Reflecting on your relationship with your physical and emotional well-being can deepen your awareness. Ask yourself:
How do you describe yourself? List words describing the essential you.
Do you reserve time for daily meditation?
Is there an issue in your life which you are battling to control through sheer willpower? Practice letting go of your desired outcome. Take a deep breath and tell yourself, "I trust that the outcome will be for my highest good, no matter what it may be.” Then let go.
Affirmations and Mantras
Positive affirmations and chanting can help reprogram the crown chakra.
Affirmation: “I release all limited thoughts and lift myself up to ever higher levels of awareness.”
Mantra: Chanting OM can activate, balance, and heal the crown chakra. It is known to stimulate the pineal and pituitary glands, which can enhance intuition and spiritual perception.
Meditation
Meditation can calm the mind and bring awareness to the third eye chakra.
I’ve created a four-minute guided meditation to help you.
Final Reflections
Balancing the crown chakra is essential to reduce stress, improve self esteem, and improve relationships. By engaging in these practices and observing how you feel, you may find a greater sense of security, vitality, and connection to life. Remember, healing is a journey, and your awareness is the first step.
Our journey through the chakras has led us to a new horizon and from this spiritual perspective has expanded our consciousness, so that we can live more fulfilled, joyous, and healthy lives!
I am grateful for your presence!
Blessings,
Briana
